June, 2011: Showed my first piece since graduating at Delish Glass' May First Friday gallery opening. A blown glass apple that had been distorted in the center to resemble an hourglass, called "Fertile Ground". Would be better if I had a photo to show for it, but I had filled it with apple seeds, dyed oil, and water, and when I arrived at the studio the following week it had exploded across the room. Needless to say there was a lot of red oil to be cleaned off the other works, the floor, and the pedestals. Mental note made.
April, 2011: It's been awhile since I last wrote. The business is doing well... slowly establishing itself and growing roots. I've kept my hands working in the material by developing a few new lines of production with my partner, Jeremy, (which you can check out at www.delishglass.com) but today is the first day since May 8th of 2010 that I finally began to work on new solo pieces... Thought it too exciting to keep to myself!
